We went shopping today. It’s sale time in France. The shops were almost empty. The stuff in the windows wasn’t at all exciting. I didn’t buy anything.
Tell a lie – I did! An Oxford ring-bound A5 address book, in pearlised pink. €5.85 from an office supplies shop. Not in the sale. But I’m thrilled with it.
We did all our sales shopping in the UK, got some great bargains!
Don’t tell me you camped out in a sleeping bag with a thermos and your Kindle, to be first through the doors.
I bought three packets of seeds, not in the sales, but far more exciting than anything that was!
Well done, Jacqui! These small things can bring so much pleasure, can’t they? I’ve never been able to work up much enthusiasm for sales, and generally when I’ve snapped up a bargain it’s turned out to be a useless mistake. Now I buy something I want when I can afford it, and leave the bargains to the better bargain hunters.
There’s an award for you on http://asurfeitofpalfreys.wordpress.com/
No need to do anything…just to show my appreciation of a blog I enjoy very much!
Thank you very much indeed, Fly.
