Mosley scandal update

By far the greatest number of hits recently on this blog have come as a result of “Max Mosley Nazi orgy” searches, so for the benefit of all those people following the saga of this sad old person, here is the latest news:

He has failed in his attempt to prevent the News of the World from showing an excerpt from the video of his degrading antics on their website. The High Court felt that as this video is already well and truly in the public domain, it would be pointless to ban the NOTW from showing it.

BMW, Mercedes, Honda and Toyota have all expressed their wish for Mr Mosley to withdraw honourably from his position. So far motoring organisations in America, Israel, Holland, Germany and Canada have called for him to go.  New Zealand’s Automotive  Association has uninvited him to a jamboree at which he was to have made a speech.

Mosley continues to deny that his five-hour orgy with five hookers (whom he flogged, and by whom he was flogged)  had any Nazi undertones, but has so far failed to explain why he spoke in German, or at times in an “Allo Allo” German accent, or why participants wore prison uniforms and German military costumes.

As a man who clearly enjoys a good insult – Mr Mosley called Sir Jackie Stewart “a certified half-wit”, he will probably appreciate the News of the World’s description of himself as “a grotesque sexual deviant”.

Not prepared to fold his tent and go quietly into the night, Max has instead called for a vote of confidence in his continued position as head of the FIA. This will be decided on 3rd June, by secret ballot of the members of that organisation. While he continues his undignified scrabbling to keep his job, he prolongs the embarrassment of his colleagues and his family. But maybe that doesn’t matter to him.

  1. If the BBC had a sense of humour, they would play the Yello track “Tied Up” from off their CD “Flag”, as the intro music to the next GP on TV. If you listen carefully, you can also hear the golden rain… :o )

  2. I think it’s ITV who show the GPs at the moment. ;-)

Perhaps the crowds could be encouraged to hum the tune? :-)

Oh, golden rain too? Blimey, I didn’t know about that.
